Rollnick, Mango Groove's director, will work with schools or
communities that wish to start their own steel band.
The start up program involves instruction in playing and teaching
techniques, supplying instruments, musical arrangements, funding
strategies, and on going support.
Steel bands are wonderful opportunities for team building and
out reach programs. As a multigenerational activity, a pan ensemble
is an excellent way to develop new and healthy relationships
between adults and children They are also exciting and fun -
especially for people who may not otherwise be involved in music.
